Sustainability & ESG Position

Mitchell & Mitchell Asset Management Ltd (MMA)

At Mitchell & Mitchell Asset Management (“MMA”), we recognise the growing importance of sustainability and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations within investment management. While we are not an ESG-branded solution, we are committed to acting as a responsible discretionary manager — one that integrates sustainability awareness into our governance, processes, and fund selection oversight.

Our Position

  • We do not operate a dedicated ESG portfolio range or promote our models as sustainable under SFDR Article 8 or 9.

  • However, we evaluate ESG factors within the context of risk management, long-term value, and reputational sustainability.

  • We support advisers who wish to meet specific ESG preferences at the client level — including access to third-party ESG portfolios via platforms.

ESG Integration Through Manager Selection

Through our strategic partnership with SEI, we benefit from institutional-grade research and oversight of fund managers — many of whom do embed ESG integration in their investment processes.

This includes:

  • Engagement with underlying fund managers on ESG policy and disclosures

  • Consideration of ESG scoring and risk ratings where material to performance

  • Ongoing due diligence that reviews whether ESG factors could present long-term risk or opportunity

  • Access to a universe of funds aligned with SFDR classifications, where appropriate

Regulatory Compliance

  • We comply with the UK Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (UK SFDR equivalent) where applicable

  • Our models are constructed to ensure alignment with MiFID II suitability obligations, including ESG preference capture where implemented by platforms and advisers

  • MMA supports advisers in documenting client ESG preferences, even where our own models are not specifically labelled as sustainable

Our Corporate Conduct

Within our own business operations:

  • We maintain a culture of good governance, ethical conduct, and operational integrity

  • Our internal policies (e.g. Conflicts of Interest, Remuneration, Data Privacy) align with fair treatment, accountability, and transparency

  • We aim to minimise our environmental footprint through hybrid work, digital-first operations, and minimal travel

In Summary

MMA is not an ESG-labelled manager — but we are a responsible, risk-aware partner that incorporates ESG considerations where they are material to long-term performance and client value.

We remain open to evolving client preferences and regulatory change, and we support advisers seeking to deliver more values-based outcomes.
