Costs & Charges
Mitchell & Mitchell Asset Management Ltd (MMA)
At MMA, we believe in full transparency around the costs involved in investing through our model portfolios. Our charging structure is simple, clear, and designed to offer value while ensuring professional oversight of your investments.
The total cost of investing includes:
1. Portfolio Management Fee / MPS Fee
This is the fee charged by MMA for managing the discretionary model portfolios (Compass or Atlas range). It covers:
Asset allocation and portfolio design
Ongoing monitoring and rebalancing
Access to our investment committee and governance process
Oversight of underlying fund managers (including through SEI)
This fee is typically charged as a percentage of the portfolio value and is shown explicitly on platform documentation.
2. Ongoing Charges Figure (OCF)
This is the weighted average cost of the underlying funds used within each portfolio. It includes:
Fund manager charges
Administration fees within those funds
Depositary and audit fees
The OCF is not charged by MMA but is embedded within the funds themselves and updated regularly. Each model portfolio factsheet discloses the current OCF.
3. Platform Fee
This is charged by the investment platform (e.g. abrdn, Parmenion, Transact, Quilter) and covers:
Custody of your assets
Execution of trades
Online access and reporting functionality
Platform fees vary and are set independently by each provider. Your adviser can confirm which platform is being used and the cost involved.
4. Adviser Fee
If you're working with a financial adviser, they may charge a separate fee for advice, reviews, and planning. This is agreed directly between you and your adviser and disclosed in your personal recommendation.
5. Transaction Costs
Occasionally, there may be small additional costs when underlying funds are bought or sold within your portfolio. These are called transaction costs and are incurred at the fund level — not by MMA or your adviser. They are a normal and expected part of active investment management and disclosed within the OCF methodology.
Transparency and Fair Value
There are no hidden fees, performance charges, or entry/exit penalties applied by MMA.
A full breakdown of all applicable costs is included in your platform and adviser documentation before you invest.
MMA reviews its model costs annually to ensure they represent fair value in line with Consumer Duty obligations.
If you’d like a detailed cost illustration or model-specific OCF breakdown, please contact your adviser or platform representative.
